Spring-Summer 2027 Ready-to-Wear Show – Chanel

Chanel presented its Spring–Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection on 5 October 2026. Designed by Matthieu Blazy, the collection explores the different chapters of Gabrielle Chanel’s life through clothes that place movement and lightness at the centre.

Tailoring meets fluid eveningwear: raw-edged waistcoats and pencil-skirt suits sit alongside sequined gowns and delicate beaded knits. Layers of translucent printed silk suggest changing skies, while bird motifs appear in embroidery, jewellery and buttons. A new smocked tweed gives the familiar Chanel suit a more flexible feel.

Black Diamond’s Design Perspective

For occasion dressing, the useful idea is balance: let an expressive fabric or embellished surface lead, while keeping the silhouette comfortable and the styling restrained. This is Black Diamond’s editorial interpretation of the collection.
